Many government websites suffer from poor usability and management. Although the websites for government agencies usually contain large volumes of information, their use is diminished by reducing their visitors ability to quickly locate information. Historically, government entities have been forced into poor performing and overpriced systems in order to accomplish the needs of the agency while keeping the government website within the bounds and parameters which must be adhered to. With recent technology releases, it is now possible for government agencies to deploy websites which meet modern web design and development standards, while keeping in-line with existing regulations. There are many existing government agencies which have already adopted modern content management systems (CMS).
