Run Apple's Safari Web Browser on Windows XP without an Emulator PDF Print E-mail
For years, web developers and surfers alike suffered from a common problem:  how to use Safari on a PC?  Well, the solution is obvious...buy an Apple computer!  No?  Clearly not the most practical solution...  Some have tried browser emulation or rebuilds, some with substantial progress - notably the Swift webkit.  However, any attempts to emulate Safari or rebuild it for windows have not been entirely successful.  Until now, many were happy enough just to have their browser look like Safari by utilizing Firefox templates.

But when it comes down to it, these solutions still don't solve the problem for those who want a true Safari experience on their Windows system.  Well good news:  Apple has FINALLY released a Microsoft Windows compatible version of the Safari web browser.  It is stated to work on both XP and Vista, and even claims to run faster than Firefox.

So, for all you Apple fans out there stuck with Microsoft, now you can at least have a web browsing experience to suit you.  And for those of you who want to make sure your websites are Safari compatible: things just got a lot cheaper.
